Whether you are a morning person or a night owl, we all start and end our days differently. We are passionate about having productive and enjoyable mornings and sticking to healthy night routines that allow for a better sleep schedule and smoother, energetic days.
We are here to give you a morning and night routine with some helpful lifestyle tips to ensure feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Step 1: Rise and Shine with Yoga!
Mornings are delicate and it is important to ensure that you are getting a healthy amount of sleep. Begin your day at 7:30am (listen to your body, sleep in for a bit more if needed!). By beginning your day early, you will have more time to commit yourself to productivity. Upon waking up, try not go on your phone immediately. Turning to your phone when you wake up can start your day off with stress, leaving you feeling overwhelmed by emails, social media, etc.
Instead, try some morning yoga and meditation! Research suggests that the ideal time to meditate is first thing in the morning. For 5-15 minutes, focus on silencing the internal chatter before the stresses of the day creep in.
Step 2: Breakfast
After meditating, eating breakfast will fuel and hydrate you for consistent energy throughout the rest of the morning. You can check out some amazing vegan breakfasts in our previous blog post.
Matcha is great for an extra boost of energy in the morning! One of the massive benefits matcha has is the ability to speed up the body’s metabolism. By speeding it up, your body fully digests all the nutrients in the food that is consumed, making you feel more lively. In a typical cup of coffee, the caffeine is absorbed by the body in just 30 minutes which leads its addictive nature. Compared to a single cup of coffee, matcha takes much longer for absorption, and therefore will leave you alert and energized for much longer!
Recipe for Matcha Mango Smoothie:
2 Tbsp of Matcha Powder
1 cup Almond milk
1 Mango, sliced
Few handfuls of Ice
1 Frozen banana (optional)
Add all ingredients to blender.
Blend until you have a smooth consistency.
For a creamier smoothie, add a frozen banana to the mix.
Step 3: Ready, Set, Skin Care
Start your skincare routine by cleansing your face with Ayurvedic Cleanser (separate cleansers depending on skin type). As a daily cleanser, mix 1 tsp. Pro Tip: place your roller in a fridge or freezer overnight for an extra de-puffing and cooling effect.

Step 4: Review Plans for the Day

Step 1: Unwind
After a long stimulating day, begin unwinding! About an hour before bed, put your phone and technology away to relax your mind for sleep. Some ways you can unwind are meditating, planning out your next day, reading or drinking some natural herb tea.
Step 2: Rinse and Repeat!
